Defeating the Greek side Panathinaikos Superfoods 91-83 after the second overtime at the fifth week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague first round, Anadolu Efes coach Velimir Perasovic commented at the post-game press conference:
“It was a very challenging match. We had a poor start into the game, making 9 turnovers in the first quarter. This mistake of ours caused us problems in catching our opponent. Starting from the third quarter–until the eighth minute of that quarter–we performed really well. That was our best-performing quarter today. It looks inconceivable but after that minute, we made mistakes that are hard to understand. Those mistakes that we did when we had the upper hand prevented us from closing the match much earlier. Today, two crucial factors for our victory were the fighting spirit we displayed and the rebounds we grabbed. We have to continue to work hard, and improve our game on the court.”
