We started the game with Larkin, Thompson, Elijah, Ercan, and Poirier on the floor, and led 6-4 in the second minute with baskets from Elijah and Poirier. Panathinaikos responded, and when the score reached 6-12 in the fourth minute, Coach Luca Banchi called a timeout. After the break, Poirier’s eight-point contribution brought the score to 14-17 by the 7:30 mark. Elijah added four points in the final minute of the quarter, which ended with us trailing 21-18. We opened the second period with a basket from Dozier to cut the deficit to one: 20-21. When the score reached 20-30 in the 12th minute, Coach Banchi called another timeout. Shortly after, Willis knocked down our first three-pointer of the night to make it 23-30. Following two free throws from Dozier, Thompson and Nwora hit back-to-back threes to put us ahead 33-32 in the 15th minute. Oturu’s powerful dunk forced a timeout from the home side at 35-32. Willis then scored six points and Larkin added five more, giving us our first double-digit lead of the game at 46-36 in the 18th minute. After Panathinaikos answered with four points, Willis closed the half with a dunk to give us a 48-40 lead at the break.

We started the second half strong, with Poirier scoring four points to extend the lead to 52-43. Thompson and Larkin knocked down threes to keep us in control at 58-51 in the 25th minute. Elijah and Smits added points to push the lead back to double digits at 68-58 with 2:30 left in the third quarter. Larkin and Dozier each added two more points to take a 72-64 lead into the final 10 minutes. Panathinaikos opened the fourth quarter on a run, cutting the lead to 72-70 within 90 seconds, prompting a timeout by Coach Banchi. Dozier’s layup gave us a 74-72 edge in the 33rd minute, and Poirier and Elijah helped keep the score tied at 78-78 by the 37:30 mark. In the final minutes, we scored with Larkin (four points) and Poirier (one point), but it wasn’t enough to retake the lead, and we dropped the game 87-83.
