Anadolu Efes head coach Tomislav Mijatovic shared his thoughts after the 69-81 loss to AS Monaco in the eighth week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague:
“We entered the fourth quarter with a seven-point lead. We wanted to expand the rotation, but we couldn’t respond as we had hoped. Unfortunately, that cost us a game we had in our hands. For three quarters, we executed everything we planned. We controlled the rebounds, made more assists, were aggressive and disciplined on defense. However, as is the nature of basketball, you need to do this for the full 40 minutes. Today, we managed it for about 32 minutes. This is something we need to improve, work on, and get better at. We must build on the good things we did and move forward. That’s our priority, our way of working. We will keep going until we get it right. We won’t stop because we have all the pieces necessary to be that good—like we were for three quarters tonight. But I also want us to be good after the fourth quarter, and that didn’t happen today.”
