With the conclusion of Spor Toto Basketball League 2015-2016 regular season, individual stat leaders have received their titles and awards. Leading the regular season with 24 wins in 30 matches, Anadolu Efes’s point guard Thomas Heurtel was crowned the assist leader with 6.11 assists per game throughout the season.
The 27-year-old point guard received his award before the Spor Toto Basketball League Playoff Quarter Final match between Royal Halı Gaziantep and Anadolu Efes. Awarded by Leaseplan, an official sponsor of Spor Toto Basketball League, Heurtel received his award from Spor Toto Basketball League Director Samer Şenbayrak and Leaseplan Operations Director Yavuz Başal.
Assuming the leading role at Anadolu Efes’s top spot performance in the regular season with 11 points and 6.11 assists per game, Heurtel had also managed to become one of the two players with the highest number of assists in one game at the Spor Toto Basketball League this season with 13 assists at the seventh week match against Türk Telekom.
Also leading Turkish Airlines Euroleague with 7.92 assists per game this season, Thomas Heurtel leads in assists per game in the leaderboards with the highest number of all-time assists with 5.55 assists per game with 616 assists in 111 matches.
