Our General Director, Mr. Alper Yılmaz, has decided to step down from his role at our club to serve Turkish basketball in a different capacity.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Yılmaz for his invaluable contributions to our club.

Alper Yılmaz wore the Anadolu Efes jersey for six consecutive years, from the 2000-01 season to the end of the 2005-06 season. He returned to our club in August 2009 as the Manager of Sports Services and had been serving as the General Director of Anadolu Efes Sports Club since November 2015.

As a player, Alper Yılmaz celebrated four Turkish League championships, three Turkish Cups, and one Presidential Cup with Anadolu Efes. He was also part of the squad that achieved third place in the 2001 EuroLeague Final Four held in Paris

During his managerial tenure, Yılmaz added three Turkish League championships, three Turkish Cups, and six Presidential Cups to his accolades. Additionally, he led our club to EuroLeague championships in 2021 and 2022, and to a runner-up finish at the 2019 Final Four in Vitoria.

Yılmaz was also honored as the “Executive of the Year” by EuroLeague in 2021 and 2022.

We are confident that Alper Yılmaz will continue to contribute greatly to the development of Turkish basketball, and we wish him every success in his future endeavors.
