Maintaining the preparations for the new season, Anadolu Efes won the pre-season match against Büyükçekmece 96-70. Anadolu Efes was ahead 48-34 at the halftime of the match, played at Abdi İpekçi Arena. With this victory, Efes has won all six of its pre-season matches so far.
Cedi Osman, Furkan Korkmaz and Dario Saric, playing at the European Basketball Championship with their national teams, Doğuş Balbay, who was injured during training with the Turkish National Team before the European Championship, Ahmet Düverioğlu, who sprained his ankle this week, and Nenad Krstic, out with an injury, did not play in the match.
Starting the match with Heurtel, Okben, Diebler, Brown and Dunston, Anadolu Efes got the first field goal of the match by Dunston. Brown and Heurtel’s four points in the remaining duration helped Anadolu Efes towards a halftime score of 48-34.
Opening the score sheet in the second half with a three pointer, Birkan increased the lead to 15 points: 51-36. Brown and Granger’s points in the paint followed by Heurtel and Granger’s three pointers helped Efes lead 61-47 in the 25th minute. Scoring by Granger and Birkan in the last minutes of the quarter helped Anadolu Efes to maintain the lead as the score was 72-54 at the end of the third quarter. Starting the final quarter with Birkan’s points, Efes was ahead 74-55 in the 31st minute. Ahead 77-61 with Okben at 32.30, Efes got a slam dunk by Emircan, leading 79-64 with five minutes to play in the game. Keeping ahead in the remaining duration, Anadolu Efes got points by Heurtel, Dunston, Brown and Tyus, and left the court victorious 96-70.
