Starting the match with Draper, Heurtel, Perperoglou, Lasme and Bjelica, Anadolu Efes got its first field goal by Bjelica. Trailing 9-2 in the third minute with the opponent’s scoring, Efes got its fourth point by Lasme. Behind 11-6 at the TV timeout in the fifth minute following Saric’s field goal, Anadolu Efes had two points by Saric and an accurate free throw by Heurtel at 6.30, bringing the margin down to two points: 9-11. Getting two more accurate free throws by Heurtel following a 6-0 scoring run from the opponent, Efes was trailing 17-11 in the eighth minute. Scoring five more points with Krstic and Cedi in the remaining two minutes, Anadolu Efes finished the first 10 minutes trailing 22-16. Starting the second quarter with a 9-0 scoring run by Krstic, Draper and Saric, Efes took the lead 25-22 at 13.40. With Krstic scoring two points from the foul line, Efes was ahead 27-24 passing through the 16th minute. As Heurtel hit a three while Perperoglou and Krstic added field goals of their own, Efes extended the scoring run in the second quarter to 18-3, increasing the lead to nine points in the 15th minute: 34-25. Ahead 40-30 with three minutes to play in the half with three points each by Heurtel, who scored a three point field goal, and Krstic, who scored an and-one, Anadolu Efes got five more points by Perperoglou, Heurtel and Saric in the remaining duration, and was ahead 45-37 at the halftime.
Opening the score sheet for Efes in the second half, Cedi hit a reverse layup: 47-39. Increasing the lead to 10 points in the 22nd minute with Heurtel, Efes made it 49-39. Responding to the opponent’s three pointer with Saric’s own, Efes kept the margin at 10 points: 52-42. Increasing the lead to 11 points with a single accurate free throw by Krstic, Efes got a layup by Cedi, ahead 55-44 in the 25th minute. Following Real Madrid’s timeout, Heurtel scored a three pointer as Efes was ahead 78-70 at 35.30. Leading 80-73 at 36.30 with two accurate free throws by Krstic, Efes got a field goal by Draper to follow, leading by seven points with 2.15 left to play: 82-75. As the opponent had a scoring run to pull up 86-82 with 20 seconds left to play, Janning hit a three pointer to bring the margin down to one point with 12 seconds to play: 85-86. Unable to score in the remaining duration, Efes left the court defeated 90-85.
