“This is a bad defeat for us. We began with a winning motivation. Everything went very well for us in the first half. Barcelona then played with 5 bigs in the second half and rotated continuously to be able to stop our offensive game. We’ve managed to control that and we were ahead 7-8 points throughout. Their offensive rebounds in the final quarter, especially the three-pointers their bigs scored allowed them to come back. It was a head-to-head match. Both teams fought well. We struggled underneath and the match extended to overtime. The point difference was 7 points after the technical fouls but we didn’t give up, brought down the difference to 1 point but we failed to use the chance. As I’ve said before it was a good match, both teams showed that they are a candidate for Final Four. We didn’t want to lose at home, of course, but we would like to win the match in Barcelona.”
