Second Win in Double-Game Week: 92-82
In the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 27 game, we hosted Lithuania’s Zalgiris Kaunas and came away with a 92-82 victory. Playing at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center, we also finished the first half leading 47-45.

Our team started the game with the lineup of Weiler-Babb, Dozier, Loyd, Ercan and Poirier. Our first points came from Dozier beyond the three-point line and we finished the opening minute ahead 3-2. With two three-pointers from Weiler-Babb, we made it 9-8 at the 2:30 mark. Following Poirier’s basket in the paint, Ercan, Dozier and Loyd each knocked down a three-pointer, pushing the score to 20-12 in the fifth minute. As Loyd and Ercan continued to score, we extended the lead to 25-18 at 7:30. Although we were unable to score in the remaining 2:30 minutes, we completed the first 10 minutes with a 25-24 lead. We opened the second quarter with five points from Dozier and went into the 12th minute leading 30-26. With points from Jones and Loyd, we were ahead 34-31 at the 15-minute mark. During this part, Swider and Weiler-Babb responded to the opponent’s baskets and the score became 44-43 in the 18th minute. After a three-pointer from Loyd in the closing moments, we headed to the locker room at halftime with a 47-45 advantage.

We began the second half with four points from Ercan and led 52-45 by the 22nd minute. Loyd’s three-pointer at 22:30 gave us a double-digit lead, prompting a timeout from the visiting team: 55-45. After the timeout, Poirier scored in the paint and the 24th minute was reached with the score at 57-50. Following Şehmus’ layup and three-pointers from Dozier and Weiler-Babb, we entered the final 10 minutes trailing 67-65. In the final quarter, our first basket came from Erkan, cutting the score to 71-68 at 31:30. With four points from Lee, we regained the lead in the 32nd minute: 72-71. We then scored consecutive baskets through Şehmus and Lee, making it 83-82 in the 37th minute. Loyd also added crucial points during this part and after Jones’ impressive dunk, we secured a 92-82 victory.
