
Our team started the game with the lineup of Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Dozier, Ercan and Poirier and took a 6-2 lead by the third minute with points from Loyd and Poirier. After Ercan’s basket, scores from Weiler-Babb and Beaubois made it 16-20 by the eighth minute. In the remaining two minutes, we converted two free throws each through Loyd and Erkan, ending the first 10 minutes trailing 25-20. We began the second quarter with points from Erkan and Beaubois, cutting the score to 30-33 in the 14th minute. Our team went scoreless for the next four minutes and with points from Poirier and Dozier, we entered the final minute of the half trailing 44-38. We then made two free throws with Loyd and went into halftime behind 46-40.
Our first basket of the second half came from Weiler-Babb, making it 42-46 in the 21st minute. After four points from Poirier, Larkin scored his first points of the game with two free throws, bringing the score to 48-52 in the 24th minute. Larkin also added a three-pointer, but after baskets from Loyd and Dessert, we entered the final 10 minutes trailing 69-56. We started the fourth quarter with a layup from Larkin and a free throw from Dessert, making it 59-75 at 31:30. Our team then went scoreless for the next five minutes and with Poirier scoring inside, the score became 63-82 at 37:30. Although we found points through Jones, Beaubois and Şehmus in the remaining minutes, we were unable to close the gap and ultimately lost the game 89-73.
