Victory in Our Last Euroleague Home Game: 79-72
In the 36th round of the Euroleague Regular Season, we hosted Serbia’s Partizan and claimed a 79-72 victory after overtime, following a 65-65 tie at the end of the fourth quarter. We trailed 36-24 at halftime in the game played at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.

We started the game with the lineup of Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Dozier, Ercan and Poirier, taking a 5-3 lead in the third minute with points from Loyd and Ercan. Poirier added a dunk and we continued to score through Loyd and Ercan to lead 13-10 by the eighth minute. Jones added another basket in the final minute of the quarter and we finished the first 10 minutes ahead 15-13. We opened the second period with a three-pointer from Smits to make it 18-13 in the 11th minute. With points from Jones and Dozier, the score was tied 22-22 in the 15th minute. In the remaining five minutes of the quarter, we managed just one basket through Dessert and went into halftime trailing 36-24.

Our first points of the second half came from the free-throw line through Loyd as we entered the 21st minute down 36-25. With contributions from Ercan and Erkan, the 25th minute passed with the score at 30-40. Poirier scored nine points to bring it to 39-46 in the 28th minute and with four made free throws by Loyd in the closing moments, we entered the final quarter trailing 50-43. Larkin opened the fourth period with a three-pointer -his first points of the game- to cut the deficit to four, 46-50. Our captain Larkin then made three free throws to make it 49-53 in the 32nd minute. After Loyd’s layup and another three from Larkin, the gap was reduced to one point at 54-55 in the 34th minute, prompting a timeout from the visitors. Following the timeout, we took the lead for the first time in a long while with a basket from Poirier, 56-55. After the visitors briefly went back in front, Poirier’s dunk and two made free throws by Weiler-Babb tied the game again at 60-60 with 2:30 remaining. In the closing stretch, we scored through Loyd and Weiler-Babb and regulation ended tied at 65-65.

We opened the overtime with two free throws each from Şehmus, Poirier and Loyd, along with one from Erkan, to take a 72-65 lead with 2:30 remaining. After the visitors cut the deficit to three at 72-69, we continued to score from the free-throw line. With six made free throws from Loyd and one from Şehmus down the stretch, we secured a 79-72 victory.
