We Defeated Türk Telekom 101-91...
In the 28th week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League we hosted Türk Telekom and came away with a 101-91 victory. We also led 55-48 at halftime in the game played at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.

We started the game with Larkin, Loyd, Dozier, Ercan and Poirier. Our first points came from Ercan and we trailed 5-2 in the second minute. With baskets from Poirier and Larkin, the score became 9-12 in the fourth minute. Dozier also contributed in this stretch and when the score reached 16-23 in the seventh minute, our head coach Pablo Laso called a timeout. After the timeout, points from Poirier and Dozier made it 21-26 in the eighth minute. In the remaining part of the quarter, Loyd scored five points and Dozier added three and we finished the first 10 minutes trailing 31-29. We opened the second quarter with a three-pointer from Şehmus, making it 32-33 in the 11th minute. With a spectacular dunk by Jones, we took the lead for the first time in the 12th minute: 34-33. Following that, we scored consecutively through Beaubois, Erkan and Şehmus to make it 47-41 in the 16th minute. With four points from Larkin, we pushed the lead into double digits at 17:30: 51-41. In the final minute of the half, Loyd and Poirier added two points each and we went into halftime leading 55-48.

We began the second half with points from Poirier and Ercan, extending the score to 62-51 in the 22nd minute. Larkin and Jones also contributed in this stretch and we held a 68-57 advantage in the 25th minute. After five points from Ercan and six from Loyd, we increased the margin to 16 at 79-63 with 1:30 left in the quarter, prompting a timeout by the visitors. We couldn’t score in the remaining 1:30, but still entered the final 10 minutes ahead 79-67. Our first basket of the final quarter came from Smits, making it 81-70 in the 31st minute. In this period, we converted from the free-throw line with Jones, Poirier and Larkin, reaching 88-77 in the 34th minute. With baskets from Dozier and Larkin, we maintained a 95-84 lead in the 38th minute. We preserved our advantage in the remaining time and following more points from Larkin, secured a 101-91 victory.
