"It was a good match on our behalf even though it is the beginning of the season. We played with control from the beginning of the match. It was head-to-head in the first half but we were able to do what we’ve wanted to. We’ve stopped Sloukas and De Colo’s pick and roll on defense and found the shots we’ve wanted to. We continued to play with a tougher but the same defense in the second half. On the offense, Micic, Simon, and Peters played individually and helpfully. We’ve used the underneath when necessary and turn to the outside shots when necessary. We’ve held the control seriously in our hands in the third quarter and raised the score difference to 16 points. Then we’ve wavered in the last quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko turned to small team and we’ve struggled to match-up. They’ve started to close the point gap with three-pointers in those minutes but Simon and Micic’s smart game was the key to the victory. We’ve begun the season with a trophy like the last year, in other words, we are beginning the season from where we’ve left off. We’ve finished the season with a trophy in June, and we are beginning with a trophy again. I hope that the continuation of the season will develop like the last season.”
