Around 2 million 300 thousand women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year around the world, and breast cancer affects one out of every eight women. Breast cancer is known as the most common type of cancer in women in Turkey.

Pink Ball was on the court for the ninth time in October, which is known as "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" all over the world. This year's volunteer supporter of the project, successful actress Pınar Deniz, started the match played at Sinan Erdem Dome on October 21 with a jump ball with Pink Ball, raising awareness of the early diagnosis of breast cancer.

“I did the jump ball on behalf of all women…”

Stating that she is happy to contribute to the dissemination of awareness of the early diagnosis of breast cancer, Pınar Deniz said, “I carried out the Pink Ball to remind all women of the fact that early diagnosis saves lives in breast cancer, which affects one out of every 8 women, and most importantly, to raise this awareness. I invite all women from the stands who hear me from their homes to join this awareness call.”

Pınar Deniz reminded the importance of checking with a doctor once a year, especially after the age of 40.
