Anadolu Efes' head coach Ergin Ataman, who lost 72-80 away to Israel's Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv team in the 16th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, shared his views at the press conference held after the match:
“In the first three quarters, we showed our own game very well and we kept control of the game in this section. In the fourth quarter, when Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv started to press full-court with four guards, we missed all the shots. Our main players had incredible turnovers. We had only one three-pointer in this section and started shooting in a panic. The game is also out of our control. In the last quarter, we played at the youth teams level, as if not a Euroleague match, and we made mistakes. They also took the rhythm of the game with the audience and started to put hard shots in this section. We missed all the shots, they took them all and they won. Congratulations to Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, it was a very important win for them.”
