Defeated 78-69 by the Russian side CSKA Moscow at the third week match of Euroleague Top 16, Anadolu Efes Coach Dusan Ivkovic commented on the post-game press conference:
“I was hoping my team would play better today. We were ambitious in the first quarter, but that was not sufficient. If you’re playing against CSKA, you have to be more ambitions, take control of the game and play better defense. Because CSKA is a team of very experienced players. We had lots of hiccups in our defense. We conceded 78 points. We had mistakes in our one-on-one defensive matchups. On this level in Euroleague, you have to play a top class off-the-ball defense. CSKA’s talented and experienced players also have a part in this. We conceded easy points. We are in the middle of January, and we have time to make up for our deficiencies and become much better. Today, CSKA was better and deserved to win the game...”
