Defeated by the Spanish side Unicaja Malaga 93-90 at the ninth week match of Euroleague Top 16 Group F, Anadolu Efes Coach Dusan Ivkovic commented on the post-game press conference:
“It was a very challenging match, and Unicaja Malaga played a better first half. We were awful on defense in this part of the game. Our opponent got 52 points in the first half, 24 of which came from three point field goals. We started controlling the game better in the third quarter, but we still failed to play on a very high level. We were so close to winning the match, but Toolson hit a very tough shot. Our biggest problem was the first half. This match was a match of free throws. Unicaja Malaga took 36 free throws, 21 in the first half. Perperoglou committed two fouls in three minutes. We have to assess the referees’ criteria for fouls, both for those 36 free throws and for Perperoglou’s fouls. I would like to congratulate Unicaja Malaga – they played great...”
