In the 25th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, we hosted France's LDLC Asvel Villeurbanne and we won the match 78-72. We finished the first half of the match 32-36 behind which played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall.
As our team started with Larkin, Beaubois, Simon, Singleton and Pleiss five, the first points of the match came from Pleiss and we were ahead 4-0 in the first minute. After Simon's layup, we went to the TV timeout in the fifth minute with a 6-4 advantage. After the time-out, Larkin, Beaubois, and Micic hit behind the arc in the second five-minute part of the period, and the first 10 minutes of the game ended 15-16. In the first two minutes of the second quarter, Dunston scored four points and made the score 19-20. In the 16th minute, Larkin’s and Simon’s baskets made the score 26-28 and the score came to 28-30 in the 18th minute with Singleton's mid-range hit. We found two points each with Simon and Pleiss in the last two minutes of the half and finished the first half of the game behind 32-36.
We started the second half with Simon's five points and the score was 37-38 in the 22nd minute. In this section, we forced our opponent to make some turnovers with our good defense, and with the points scored by the trio of Pleiss, Singleton, and Micic, we were ahead 45-40 in the 25th minute. After Larkin's three-pointer, Micic hit from the foul line twice, increasing the lead to seven points in the 27th minute: 50-43. After the points from Pleiss and Beaubois in the last minute of the quarter, we entered the last 10 minutes of the game with a 54-50 advantage. While Beaubois was our first scorer in the final period, Larkin was stopped by a foul during a three-point shot and scored four points in one position: 60-54. With Moerman's three-pointer and Larkin's layup, we increased the lead to double digits for the first time at 32:30, and the visiting team's timeout came: 65-54. With the three-pointer from Larkin on the time-out, we increased the lead to 14 points at 33:30: 68-34. After Beaubois' three-pointer, Dunston's stylish dunk led us 73-66 into the last 2:30 minutes of the game. With Dunston's three-pointer, we made the score 76-68 in the last 22 seconds of the game. In the remaining part, we got two more points with Larkin and we won the match 78-72.
