We met Fenerbahçe Beko at the Bitci Turkish Cup Final and we won the game 86-72. We finished the first half of the match, that had been played in Tofaş Sports Hall, 41-27 ahead.
While our team started the game with Micic, Beaubois, Simon, Moerman, and Pleiss at the starting five, the first points of the game came from Pleiss behind the three-point line. With Moerman's three-pointer, the score was 5-8 in the fifth minute, and Micic also scored a three-pointer and we were 9-8 ahead in the sixth minute. Larkin was also included in the game after the TV timeout, and we were leading 11-10 in the seventh minute with two hits from Simon at the foul line. In the remaining three minutes, we scored three points with Micic and two points by Moerman, leading 16-14 in the first 10 minutes of the game. We started the second period with Pleiss and Moerman's points and increased the lead to nine points in the 12th minute and the opposing called a time-out: 23-14. On the return from the time-out, we got led to double digits with a lay-up hit from Pleiss: 25-14. After the score came to 25-19 in the 15th minute, we brought it to 36-22 in the 17th minute with the points of Larkin and Beaubois. In the remaining time, we had an under-hoop hit from Pleiss and a three-pointer from Beaubois, leading the first half of the game 41-27.
We started to the second half with Larkin and Moerman's points and we were ahead 44-29 in the 21st minute. After three points from Micic’s and-one position, we were ahead 49-34 in the 24th minute, with Pleiss hitting from under the hoop. With the points from Micic and Pleiss, we made the score 56-42 in the 27th minute. After Beaubois' five points and Erten's hit from the foul line, we were leading 69-42 in the last 10 minutes of the game. Our first points in the final period came from Moerman at the free-throw line and we entered the 31st minute leading by 64-49. With Micic's five points and Beaubois' layup, we were ahead 71-58 in the 34th minute. In three minutes, we scored points from under the basket with Moerman and Pleiss and we were leading 79-64 in the 37th minute. After Beaubois' three-pointer, Micic's stylish dunk led us 84-66 into the last two minutes of the game. We maintained our lead in the remaining time and after Yiğitcan's layup, we won the match 86-72.
