We hosted AX Armani Exchange Milan in the fourth match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague play-offs and we won the game 75-70. We finished the first half of the match which had taken place at Sinan Erdem Dome, 42-43 behind.
After this result, we won the series 3-1 and advanced to the Final Four for the third time in a row.
While our team played with Larkin, Micic, Elijah, Moerman, and Pleiss starting five, we were ahead 8-0 in the first 1:30 minutes with the points of Pleiss and Moerman and they had to call their first timeout. On the return of the timeout, we made the score 16-4 in the sixth minute with Micic and Pleiss. Elijah also hit a three-pointer in the remaining time and we were leading 19-11 in the first 10 minutes of the game. We started the second period with Anderson's mid-range hit and increased the lead to 10 points in the 11th minute: 21-11. After Dunston's two hits from the foul line, we brought the score to 28-20 in the 13th minute with points from Buğrahan and Micic. The score was 36-35 at 27:30 after Larkin and Pleiss hit the foul line. After the points from Moerman and Pleiss in the remaining part, we finished the first half of match 42-43 behind.
We started the second half with Pleiss's dunk and Micic's three-pointer and at 21:30 we took a 47-43 lead. Three-pointers by Elijah and Micic brought the score to 53-48 in the 23rd minute. A three-pointer came from Pleiss, and at 23:30 we moved the score to 56-48. With Micic's only hit on the foul line, we were ahead 57-50 in the 25th minute. In the second five-minute part of the period, we scored three points with Anderson and two points with Pleiss, leading 62-58 in the last 10 minutes of the game. When the score reached 62-66 at 32:30 in the final period, coach Ergin Ataman took a time-out. Larkin, who found two hits on the foul line on the return from the timeout, brought the score to 64-66 in the 33rd minute. After Pleiss' mid-range hit, Micic's layup tied the score in the 37th minute: 68-68. We took the lead again at 38:40 with Singleton's three hits from the foul line: 71-68. In the last 11 seconds of the game, Larkin, who got the defensive rebound and was stopped by a foul, came to the foul line and scored both free throws, bringing the score to 73-68. In the remaining time, we had two more hits on the foul line with Micic and we won the match 75-70.
