Defeated by Bayern Munich team 71-74 in the 9th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts post-game:
"Tonight, we didn’t play a very well basketball overall but I believe that we had chances to win at the beginning of the third and the fourth quarters. Though within the last 4-5 minutes we missed every shot, there were some absurd turnovers, and couldn’t defend the 8-point difference. It’s the coach’s fault if a team fails to defend a 4-point advantage in 4 minutes. I take full responsibility. We’ve lost this match, this is basketball. We’ve won via playing the last minutes of the match well, we’ve played badly and lost. Euroleague is a long marathon, we will try to win in Moscow now. Erten Gazi shows a good performance within the training and the matches. Today is a shame for his performance actually, this could’ve been his match. I wanted to change the offensive side and turn back to Micic and Larkin after the offense stuck. Maybe it would have been different if he played.”
