Defeated by Russia’s CSKA Moscow team 78-80 in the 27th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman shared his thoughts at the post-game conference:
"We started the game very well, but especially after Adrien Moerman got injured, we had a lot of problems. We didn't find a good five to play. Especially we didn't have a contribution from Motum in the first half. We tried to play with two bigs, but it is not our real system strategy and so we’ve struggled. We’ve missed the second quarter by points when Shane Larkin didn't give the actual performance we’ve wanted from him in the first half. This was the key of the game for us. After that, in the second half, we tried everything and played perfect. Finally, we found James Anderson in the power forward position and found two three-point shots. We came back to the game with Shane Larkin giving us his real performance in the second half. But the last two baskets that CSKA made were two last-second shots. We lost the game, but we showed we are a great team we are. We will fight until the end to win the Euroleague."
