Ataman: “A superb victory…”

Defeating Barcelona 86-82 in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman shared his thoughts post-game:

"We’ve played good basketball until the last quarter. We defended terrifically. We’ve only had a problem with defending Malcolm Delaney in the first half. He shot extra three-pointers but we’ve managed to lead the score table. We continued to play in the third quarter like the first half as well. They’ve pushed with a double team and harsh defense within the final quarter. Our players were mentally struggling with the match in these minutes, Kyle Kuric’s consecutive three-pointers caused us to lose the momentum of the match. Two technical fouls were called on me but it was necessary in order to change things. The team didn’t step back afterward. A superb victory, this is our seventh away game victory in a row. We will play in two critical matches next week, the Milano match on Tuesday evening and Asvel match on Friday evening. We would like to see our supporters in both matches next to us.”
