Anadolu Efes has signed Stratos Perperoglou, previously playing at the Greece side Olympiacos. The 30-year-old Greek stands at 203 cm tall, and plays at small forward.
Having started basketball at the Greek team Ilisiakos, Perperoglou commenced his professional career in the 2002-03 season at the same team. After spending two years there, the Greek signed for Panionios in the 2004-05 season, and for Panathinaikos in the 2007-08 season. Staying there till 2012, Perperoglou was signed by Olympiacos at the start of the 2012-13 season.
Having achieved three Euroleague championships in his career, Perperoglou was crowned the Euroleague champions with Panathinaikos in 2009 and 2011, and with Olympiacos in 2013. Also winning the Intercontinental Cup in 2013 with Olympiacos, the prosperous player won the Greece league with Panathinaikos in the 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. Winning the Greece Cup in 2008, 2009 and 2012 with Panathinaikos, Perperoglou was selected four times to play in the Greece League All-Star events.
Having played at the Greek National Teams who won bronze medals in the U18 and U19 European Championships, Perperoglou had another bronze title at the European Basketball Championship held at Poland in 2009.
Playing at 22 matches in the Euroleague in the previous season, Perperoglou had 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 20.14 minutes per game. Perperoglou had 45.6% two-point, 46.2% three-point and 85.0% free-throw percentages in the Euroleague.
He had 8.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18.1 minutes per game within 30 matches in the Greece League, which ended a few days ago.
