Anadolu Efes signs a 2 and a half years contract with Bosnia Herzogevinan player Dzanan Musa.
Born in 1999 and 2,06 meters tall, Musa plays in shooting guard / small forward positions.
Met with basketball at the age of eight, Dzanan Musa played in the Kos youth club and transferred to Croatia’s Cedevita Zagreb team’s youth club. After playing in the Zagreb team’s youth team for one season, Musa was qualified for the A team, played in his first Euroleague match at the age of 16, and was selected the 9th youngest player to play in Euroleague. Playing in the Croatian team until 2018, the young player was selected 28th overall by Brooklyn Nets in the 2018 NBA Draft. Musa played in 9 matches within his first season with Brooklyn Nets, and 40 matches within the second season. Also, he played in Long Island Nets team in NBA G League and traded to Detroit Pistons in 2020 November. He left the team on 21 December.
Participating in 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017,18 season championships with Cedevita Zagreb team in Croatian League, Czanan Musa also participated in winning the Croatian Cup trophy in these seasons. Participating in winning the Adriatic League trophy in 2017, Musa was one of the best 5 players of the league. Dzanan Musa was awarded the “Rising Star” award in Eurocup in the 2017-18 seasons. Musa finished the U16 Europe Basketball Championship that took place in Lithuania’s Kaunas city in 2015 in the first place, he was selected the most scoring player of the tournament with an average of 23,3 points and he has rewarded the MVP award. Dzanan Musa was the most scoring player of the tournaments both the U17 World Championship with an average of 34,0 points and the U18 Europe Championship with an average of 20,2 points.
Musa played in 40 matches with 12,2 minutes wearing the Brooklyn Nets jersey, he scored an average of 4,8 points, 1,9 rebounds, and 0,9 assists per game last season.
He played in 12 matches with 31,0 minutes wearing the Long Island Nets jersey in NBA G League, he scored an average of 19,5 points, 8,4 rebounds, and 2,8 assists per game.
