Hosting the French side Limoges at the sixth week match of Euroleague 2015-16 season First Round Group B, Anadolu Efes won the game 92-74. Anadolu Efes was ahead 51-35 at the halftime of the match, played at Abdi İpekçi Arena.
Starting the match with Heurtel, Birkan, Diebler, Brown and Dunston, Anadolu Efes got its first points by Heurtel, leading 5-0 in the second minute. With Brown joining Heurtel in scoring, Efes was leading 12-5 past the fourth minute. Ahead 14-8 following Dunston’s slam dunk at the TV timeout in the fifth minute, Efes got another field goal by Heurtel after the timeout, followed by Cedi and Saric’s points to lead 20-12 in the seventh minute. Getting three points by Granger and two points by Saric in the remaining duration, Efes finished the first 10 minutes ahead 25-20. Following Saric’s field goal to open the score sheet for Efes in the second quarter, the score was 29-22 in favor of Efes after Tyus’s field goal from the paint in the 12th minute. Leading 33-29 into the 15th minute after Granger and Furkan’s field goals, Efes got two free throws by Saric, increasing the margin to six points: 35-29. Heurtel’s third three pointer in the game increased the lead to nine points at 15.40, forcing the opponent to call a timeout: 38-29. Keeping the pace up after the timeout, Efes dominated the opponent’s paint with Dunston and Brown, leading 51-35 at the halftime thanks to the scoring by the two big men. Injured with a sprained ankle in the final minutes of the quarter, Granger was subbed out.
As the opponent scored eight points within the initial two minutes of second half, the score was 51-43 in the 22nd minute. After Heurtel hit a three pointer to open the score sheet for Efes in the quarter, Dunston got a field goal from the paint when Efes was leading 56-43 in the 23rd minute. Leading 59-46 past the 24th minute following Diebler’s three pointer, the opponent got a 6-0 scoring run in the subsequent two minutes to make it 59-52 as coach Ivkovic called a timeout. Ahead 67-55 past the 28th minute with Dunston and Diebler’s points, Efes got a three point field goal by Cedi to lead 70-57 while heading into the final quarter. Starting the final quarter with three free throws by Furkan and Saric, Anadolu Efes was leading 73-57 at 31.30. Increasing the margin to 15 with Dunston, Efes got a slam dunk with Brown after the opponent’s field goal, leading 77-62 in the 35th minute. Reaching 79 points with Cedi, Efes got a three pointer by Diebler, leading 82-67 with 3.30 left to play. Leading 86-72 in the last two minutes with Dunston and Brown’s points, Anadolu Efes maintained the lead in the remaining duration and with Heurtel and Brown’s points to seal the game, left the court victorious 92-74.
