“First of all, congratulations to Dubai Basketball on their victory. Personally, this was my first home game with the team, and of course, it would have been great to win, but unfortunately we couldn’t. There are two ways to evaluate this game: we had that last shot and if we had made it, we would be celebrating here. But I think that would be too short for a coach. We made several mistakes on both offense and defense that hurt us throughout the game. The schedule is very tough; for example, Dubai Basketball arrived in Istanbul before we did. We were able to compete very well for three quarters, but in the fourth, we couldn’t close the game. We definitely need to recover our players, but we also have to accept that we cannot buy time. We will work through the challenges knowing that time is something we need.”
