
Our starting five were Beaubois, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Swider and Poirier and Poirier scored the first basket of the night. Thanks to Beaubois’ seven-points contribution, the score reached 9-6 at the 3:30 minute, while Poirier continued to score consecutively in the paint, making it 15-9 in the sixth minute. Swider added six points during this part and following points in the paint by Smits and Jones, we finished the first 10 minutes ahead 28-17. We opened the second quarter with a pair of made free throws from Şehmus and Erkan, bringing the score to 30-24 in the 13th minute. Smits’ three-pointer made it 33-26 in the 15th minute and after four more points from Poirier in the second five minutes of the quarter, we went into halftime leading 37-35.
We opened the second half with six points from Swider and led 43-37 at the 22th minute. Baskets by Beaubois and Cordinier extended the lead to 49-33 in the 25th minute. After two three-pointers from Swider, Weiler-Babb added five points more and we pushed the margin back into double digits at the 28th minute: 60-49. In the final minute of the quarter, Loyd knocked down a three-pointer and we entered the last 10 minutes with a 63-51 advantage. We scored on our first possession of the final period with a spectacular dunk by Jones to make it 65-51. With points from Loyd and Şehmus, we increased the lead to 16 in the 33rd minute and the timeout called by the home team: 73-57. After the timeout, Loyd continued to score, extending the margin to 21 points in the 37th minute at 80-59. Following two made free throws by Cordinier, David Mutaf came into the game and contributed five points and we secured the 87-64 victory.
