
Our team started the game with the lineup of Weiler-Babb, Dozier, Cordinier, Ercan and Dessert. Our first points came from beyond the three-point line by Dozier and the second minute ended tied at 3-3. After Ercan scored four points, Dozier added another basket, giving us a 9-8 lead in the fifth minute. In the second five minutes of the quarter, we scored with Cordinier and Lee and finished the first 10 minutes ahead 19-14. We opened the second quarter with baskets from Dozier and Lee, extending the lead to 28-19 in the 14th minute. Following Smits’ three-pointer, Ercan scored inside to keep us ahead 33-28 in the 17th minute. In the remaining time, Weiler-Babb and Lee each scored five points and we went into halftime leading 43-33.
In the second half, our first basket came from Dessert in the paint and we entered the 23rd minute with a 45-35 lead. In the remaining seven minutes of the quarter, Dozier knocked down two three-pointers, while Lee made two free throws in the final seconds of the period, allowing us to enter the last 10 minutes ahead 53-50. In the final quarter, our first points came from the Lee-Jones duo and the 35th minute passed with the score 58-61. With Ercan also contributing to the scoring in this part, we regained the lead at 36:30, 62-61. However, despite scoring one point with Weiler-Babb and three points with Beaubois in the closing minutes, we were unable to retake the lead and lost the game 71-66.
