Anadolu Efes Spor Kulübü, the powerhouse of Turkish basketball, has begun preparations for the 2026–2027 season. Having reshaped a significant part of its roster, Anadolu Efes brings together NBA and EuroLeague-experienced stars, national team players, and young talents from the club's academy under one roof.
Speaking during the new season preparations, our Head Coach Pablo Laso said: "I am very happy to be here and to start the new season. We have a new season ahead of us that we begin with great expectations. Today we were missing some players due to national team duty, but despite that, we are very excited to be here and take the first step into the new season. I hope that, together with the support of our fans, we will have a great season."
10 players from Anadolu Efes's roster are on national team duty
The first practice of the new season under our Head Coach Pablo Laso took place with a shorthanded roster, as the majority of the players are currently away on national team duty.
Darius Kartutasu, Ercan Osmani, and Erkan Yılmaz are with Turkey; Mike James with the United States; Jordan Loyd with Poland; Santi Yusta with Spain; Dario Sarić and assistant coach Tomislav Mijatović with Croatia; Matthew Strazel with France; Kai Jones with the Bahamas; and Daron "Fatts" Russell with Romania's national team camp.
Following practices and preseason games in Istanbul, Anadolu Efes will also take part in preseason tournaments in Antalya and Russia ahead of the new season.
