Before the match, a special trophy ceremony was held with the championship trophies we won in the Euroleague for the last two seasons in a row.

While Micic, Beaubois, Elijah, M'Baye, and Zizic were the starting five of our team, our first basket came from Zizic. In this section, we countered the opposing team's points with Clyburn and Beaubois' five points each, and the seventh-minute score was tied 12-12. After taking the lead for the first time in the game at 8:30 with M'Baye's three-pointer, we finished the first 10 minutes of the game ahead 17-14 with Beaubois' lay-up basket. With Clyburn's four points, the 14th minute was tied 21-21, while Micic's three-pointer brought the score to 24-25 in the 15th minute. While Polonara also contributed to the score in this section, we finished the first half of the game ahead 35-34 after the points from Micic and Dunston in the last part of the half.

Our first point in the second half came from Micic on the foul line, and Zizic's stylish slam dunk led us 38-36 into the 22nd minute. In this period of time, after three points each by Clyburn, Micic, and Beaubois, we brought the score to 47-41 in the 24th minute. At these minutes, Zizic and Micic, and our team were scoring in the paint, while we brought the score to 55-48 at 28:30 with M'Baye's slam dunk. After this basket, the visiting team took a time-out. In the remaining time after the time-out, we got one hit with M'Baye on the foul line and the last 10 minutes of the match were entered with a 56-50 lead. We started the final period with Micic's three-pointer and brought the score to 59-52 in the 31st minute. With points from Elijah and Dunston, in the 33rd minute, we increased the lead to double digits for the first time: 63-52. While Clyburn and Elijah were scoring under the basket in this section, we entered the last three minutes of the match with our 70-57 lead. In the remaining three minutes, we scored two more points with Pleiss and won the game 72-59.
