Defeating İstanbul BŞB 106-64 at the 21st week match of Turkish Basketball League, Anadolu Efes coach Dusan Ivkovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
“Today was our game. I have deep respect for İstanbul BŞB. We all know their performance in the last nine matches with their new coach. We were great on offense today. After the match against Unicaja Malaga on Friday, we could only prepare for today’s game with a single training session. We have had our best offensive performance so far. We scored 106 points – a season-high for us. Also, 25 assists and 6 turnovers are very positive numbers. The four-to-one ratio is a sign of how well we were on offense. Our two-point and three-point percentages were also very high. This has been a very important result in this uphill battle towards the playoffs. Starting from tomorrow, we will continue to prepare for the match against CSKA Moscow. Unfortunately, for the first time this season, two of our players got injured in the same match. According to our physician, Deniz’s injury is not severe but Furkan’s injury is. I wish İstanbul BŞB to do their best in their upcoming matches...”
Anadolu Efes’s young talent Emircan Koşut also stated his thoughts: “First of all, I would like to congratulate İstanbul BŞB. They had seven wins in their last nine matches with their new coach. We prepared for this match with only one training session after playing against Unicaja Malaga. We played a good game, and managed to win it...”
