This quarter was also the decisive factor for the result. I would like to congratulate İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye. They had won their last four matches on their way up here. Coach Ertuğrul Erdoğan is doing a good job. They fought well especially in the second half of the match, and they were even leading the game at the end of the third quarter by one point. However, as I stated earlier, the 22-11 score in the final quarter was the decisive factor for the win. We had a nice start into the game, but we had ups and downs. In the last five minutes of the match, however; we took back control. We will now be back at the Euroleague. We will be playing against Fenerbahçe in a big clash between two teams of Istanbul. During that match, we have to perform much better than we have done here...”

Anadolu Efes’s Birkan Batuk also stated his thoughts: “First of all, we are naturally happy to have won here today. We played against a good team. We played against a team that has been playing very well in the recent weeks, scoring 80 to 90 points. Unfortunately, we allowed 44 points in the first half. In the second half, we only allowed 33 points with an increased level of defense. And with our performance in the final quarter, we managed to snatch the win. We will now play against Fenerbahçe in the Euroleague, and we still have a chance to advance. It will be a tough road game against a good team. I hope we will get the win from that match...”
