We hosted Frutti Extra Bursaspor in the 28th-week match of the ING Basketball Super League and we won the fight 88-85. We finished the first half of the game, which was played at the Sinan Erdem Dome, 51-41 ahead.
While our team started the game with Buğrahan, Elijah, Simon, Singleton, and Petrusev five, the first basket of the match came from Simon. While Petrusev and our team scored consecutive points in the first section, we brought the score to 8-5 at 3:30. After Buğrahan's three-pointer, the score was tied before the TV timeout in the fifth minute: 11-11. After the timeout, Singleton and Petrusev's points brought the score to 15-16 at 6:30. We scored points with Larkin, Elijah, and Buğrahan in the remaining part and we were behind 24-29 in the first 10 minutes of the match. We started the second period with Buğrahan's four points and brought the score to 28-29 in the 11th minute. Finding the layup as soon as he entered the game in this part, Erten put our team ahead in the 12th minute and the visiting team's time-out came: 30-29. After the timeout, we made the score 39-32 in the 15th minute with the points from Simon and Erten. In the 16th minute, Elijah increased the lead to double digits with a score of 43-32, and with Erten's basket and Buğrahan's three-pointer in the last second of the half, we were ahead by 10 points in the first half of the game: 51-41.
Our first hit in the second half came with Buğrahan behind the three-point line and we brought the score to 54-45 in the 22nd minute. After Larkin's single hit on the foul line, we were ahead 63-53 in the 27th minute with points from Buğrahan and Egemen. We scored with Yiğitcan and Erten in the remaining part and we were ahead 69-64 in the last 10 minutes of the match. We started the final period with Dunston and Simon's points and entered the 33rd minute with a 78-70 lead. With four points each from Yiğitcan and Elijah, we brought the score to 86-78 at 36:30. We entered the last 7.6 seconds of the match with two accurate free throws by Larkin, leading 88-85, and closed our rim in the remaining time and won the match 88-85.
