“I congratulate Beşiktaş Sompo Japan. They’ve deserved this victory. And we have shown an unbelievably bad personal performance tonight. Unfortunately, these can happen, you cannot perform your best all the time in basketball. Though I didn’t expect the performances to be as bad as tonight from our scorer players. I wanted to give a chance to some of our players, with confidence, while thinking about their Euroleague matches but Beşiktaş Sompo Japan played very well and won. I congratulate them.”

After the reminded that the Euroleague match that our team will play on Friday against Real Madrid has received an amazing attention, coach Ergin Ataman continued as;

“There is an Anadolu Efes team that plays very well and delightful in Euroleague. So, there is a serious demand. Everybody appreciates Anadolu Efes in Euroleague at the moment. I am very pleased about this as well. We were unable to unlock the upper levels before, but we will now. Sinan Erdem Sports Arena is a big arena. I believe it will be a full match. Our Euroleague targets are different. We will forget about this match and prepare for the Real Madrid match from tomorrow.”

Our player Adrien Moerman also shared his thoughts: “We began well to the match, we played good in the first quarter and finished ahead. In the second quarter, our defense wasn’t as we wanted it to be and our rival found a way back for a come-back and scored 33 points in this quarter. In the second half, both teams were aggressive and we scored 20 points too but we, unfortunately, couldn’t win. We have a Real Madrid match ahead, we will focus on that now.”
