Ataman: ”I am pleased with the performance of our young players…”

Head coach Ergin Ataman of Anadolu Efes, who won 97-68 in the match hosted by Bahçeşehir Koleji in the fifth week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League, shared his post-match views as follows:

"Bahçeşehir Koleji came out with an incomplete squad in this game. Jamar Smith did not play their important weapon, they did not use their other players too much. They had an important match in Europe on Tuesday. In terms of the depth of the squad, of course, the contribution of our young players provided us comfort. We didn't use many of our players. We only played Vasilije Micic for 5 minutes at first. I'm happy with the performance of our young players, but today's match was at the pace of a training match. We can't talk about hardness in any way, but Ömercan İlyasoğlu, Karahan Efeoğlu, and Efe Demirel, who played at this level for the first time, contributed very well. They breathed that air. It is important for the future, but for us, of course, this match is by no means a measure. We have a game against Bayern Munich in Germany in the EuroLeague on Thursday, we will start the preparations for it."
