Starting the match with Granger, Furkan, Cedi, Brown and Tyus, Anadolu Efes’s coach Ivkovic called a timeout as the score was 0-6 at 1.15 minutes. After the timeout, Tyus scored our first field goal of the match. Bringing the lead to one point in the fifth minute with Granger and Cedi’s points, Efes had a slam dunk by Brown, gaining the lead for the first time in the match at 5.30. Furkan and Cedi’s field goals made it 16-12 in the eighth minute, forcing the opponent to call a timeout. With Cedi’s scoring complemented by a spectacular slam dunk by Emircan, the score was 23-15 at the end of the first 10 minutes of the game. Starting the second quarter with Saric and Birkan’s points, Efes increased the lead to double digits for the first time in the match in the 13th minute: 31-19. After Torku Konyaspor’s timeout, Heurtel and Furkan’s field goals helped Efes stay up 36-23 past the 15th minute. Scoring with Saric, Tyus and Heurtel in the second five-minute part of the quarter, Anadolu Efes was leading 46-36 while heading into the locker room for the halftime.
As Tyus opened the score sheet for Efes in the second half, the score was 48-36 following our first possession. With Granger and Brown stepping in, Efes was leading 61-45 past the 25th minute. When the lead went up to 18 points in the 26th minute with Doğuş’s layup and Cedi’s slam dunk, the opponent called a timeout: 66-48. Thanks to five points by Brown after the timeout, Efes was ahead by 23 points with two minutes left to play in the quarter: 71-48. Anadolu Efes got a three pointer by Cedi in the remaining duration, and was leading 74-53 in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Starting the final quarter with Saric’s layup, Efes was leading 81-55 in the 32nd minute after Heurtel and Doğuş’s points. After Emircan had three points from an and-one making it 84-61 in the 34th minute, the score was 86-65 past the 35th minute following Granger’s field goal. Leading 89-69 in the last 3.30 minutes with Ahmet’s free throws, Anadolu Efes maintained the lead, and with Furkan and Birkan’s points to seal the game, left the court victorious 98-71.
