“First of all, I congratulate İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye. Our bad game and the result of the match is apparent. Actually, we have started with a good energy to the match in the first minutes. At the last minutes of the first quarter, our defense was down and this was the reason behind the easy points. Lack of confidence that occurred because of the easy points of the rival, was the key to losing control of the match. From this point on we made an effort but our defense got worse, though rival team’s performance was effective on that too.”

Our team captain Doğuş Balbay also stated his thoughts on the press conference as: “I congratulate İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye. They put on a very well game today. Though we played very bad and couldn’t put on the character. This was a match that is unfortunate to our club culture. We couldn’t show our professionalism in the arena. Tomorrow is a new day. We will be finishing the rest of the season with a new coach. We need to pick ourselves up immediately and bring order. We have two very important matches against Khimki and Olympiacos. We might not be able to create a miracle in two days but we must put our character in the arena and play like Anadolu Efes. We couldn’t do that unfortunately.”
