
Our starting five was Larkin, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Smits, and Ercan. Our first points came at 2:30 as Smits knocked down a three-pointer to make it 3-5. With baskets from Cordinier and Larkin, we took the lead at 3:30, 8-5. We extended the score to 16-5 by the fifth minute with points from Ercan and Cordinier. Larkin left the game in the 8th minute due to injury. In the remainder of the quarter, we added one free throw from Smits and two from Loyd, finishing the first 10 minutes of the game ahead 19-14. We opened the second quarter with five quick points from Cordinier, taking a 24-19 lead in the 12th minute. After a basket inside from Smits, three-pointers from Cordinier and Şehmus put us ahead 32-27 in the 16th minute. Smits added four more points, and with three-pointers from Weiler-Babb and Loyd, we closed out the first half leading 42-34.
We began the second half with three-pointers from Ercan and Smits, extending the lead to 48-34 in the 21st minute. Our 50th point came from Dessert and we continued scoring through Weiler-Babb and Cordinier to enter the final quarter ahead 60-47. In the fourth quarter, our first basket came from the game’s leading scorer, Cordinier, making it 62-47. After Dessert’s single free throw and a Bayern basket, the score narrowed to 63-58 at 32:30, prompting a timeout from Coach Kokoskov. After the timeout, Cordinier threw down a powerful dunk to make it 65-58 in the 33rd minute. With five points from Weiler-Babb, we entered the 37th minute up 70-64. Smits and Cordinier each made two successful free throws, giving us a 74-68 lead with 1:30 remaining. Though we were unable to score in remaining 1:30 minutes, we maintained our advantage and secured a 74-72 victory.
