We led for most of the game and closed the first half ahead 53-41, going on to win by 10 points.

Game MVP: PJ Dozier, with 18 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound and a PIR of 18.

Our head coach Pablo Laso's thoughts on the match:

First of all, I would like to congratulate my players on this victory.

We opened our EuroLeague season with an away game at Barcelona, where we controlled large parts of the game but were unable to come away with the win. That made winning our next game, at home, all the more important for us.

We put in a tremendous effort, and we are very pleased to have earned this win against a team of Real Madrid's caliber. In a season with a schedule full of ups and downs like a rollercoaster, this performance was extremely important for us.

Some may raise the question of PJ Dozier not playing in the last game. Tonight, however, we got exactly the kind of contribution we were looking for from him. We will celebrate this win tonight, and then immediately shift our focus to our next game.

In our next EuroLeague game, we will travel to Serbia to face Crvena Zvezda. The game will be played on Thursday evening, October 1, and tip-off is at 21:00 Turkey time.
