We Won Against Olympiacos On The Road: 82-78
In the fourth week of the EuroLeague Regular Season, we played against Greece’s Olympiacos on the road and came away with an 82-78 victory. We trailed 51-48 at halftime in the game played at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

Our team started the game with Larkin, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Ercan, and Papagiannis. Our first basket came from Larkin, and we trailed 6-2 in the opening minute. We responded to the opponent’s early points with three-pointers from Papagiannis and Larkin, taking the score to 8-14 in the fourth minute. In this part, we forced two turnovers with Ercan’s defense, and thanks to five points from Cordinier and a layup by Larkin, we took our first lead at 15-14 in the sixth minute. We kept the lead in the score with points from Ercan, Larkin and Swider, and after Jones’ dunk, we ended the first quarter ahead 28-25. Our team opened the second quarter with points from Dozier and Jones, and with a nine-point contribution from Swider, we extended the lead to double digits at 41-31 at 13:30, prompting a timeout from the home side. After the timeout, we couldn’t score for the next four minutes and fell behind 42-41 at 17:30. In the remaining part of the quarter, Dozier and Larkin combined for six points, and we went into halftime trailing 51-48.

Our first points of the second half came from Ercan in the paint: 55-50. We then connected from beyond the three points line with Swider and Larkin, taking a 61-59 lead in the 26th minute. In the final two minutes of the quarter, Swider, Loyd, and Jones each scored once, and the game entered the final 10 minutes tied at 67-67. In the final period, our first points came from Ercan, giving us a 70-67 lead in the 33rd minute. After the opponent regained the lead, Ercan scored again to make it 72-73 in the 34th minute. Ercan then fouled out, but Cordinier stepped up with consecutive baskets to give us a 77-76 advantage entering the final minute of the game. We did not make a mistake in the last minute of the game and with the accurate free throws from Larkin and Dozier, we won the game with an 82-78 victory.
