
Our team started the game with the lineup of Lee, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Ercan and Dessert. Our first points came from Lee-Dessert duo and we led 9-5 by the third minute. With Ercan’s basket in the paint, we increased our lead to 11-7 in the fifth minute. In the second five-minute part of the period, we scored through Dessert and Loyd and finished the first 10 minutes ahead 21-19. We opened the second quarter with baskets from Ercan and Beaubois, holding a 25-24 lead in the 11th minute. Following Loyd’s layup and a spectacular dunk by Jones, we entered the 13th minute ahead 29-26. Lee’s three-point play gave us a 32-29 advantage in the 15th minute. However, after four points from Smits and a three-pointer by Loyd, we went into halftime trailing 40-39.
Our first basket of the second half came from Ercan, allowing us to regain the lead at 41-40. After points from Lee and Dessert, Weiler-Babb knocked down two three-pointers to make it 52-50 at the 23:30 mark. As Ercan and Smits each made two free throws and Dozier added consecutive baskets, we entered the final 10 minutes trailing 65-64. We began the final quarter with a basket from Smits and were behind 67-66 in the 31st minute. After points from Loyd, we scored with Ercan and Lee to take a 77-72 lead in the 35th minute. In the remaining five minutes, we added two points through Lee, but ultimately lost the game 84-79.
