
Our team started the game with the lineup of Lee, Loyd, David, Ercan and Dessert. With points from the David-Loyd duo, we took a 10-5 lead in the third minute. After Dessert scored inside, David added five more points, making it 17-8 in the sixth minute. Following a turnover by Mersin Spor, Dozier converted a fast-break layup to extend the lead to double digits at 6:30 (19-8). We added four more points through Dessert in the remaining minutes and closed the first quarter ahead, 23-16. In the second quarter, the score was tied at 23-23 in the first 1:30, prompting our head coach Pablo Laso to call a timeout. After the timeout, six points from Swider put us back ahead 29-23 in the 13th minute. Following baskets by David and Swider, our new player Lee scored his first basket of the game -and of his Anadolu Efes career also- in the 15th minute to make it 36-29. With points from Dessert and Swider, we led 44-36 in the 17th minute and contributions from David and Ercan in the final minutes of the period allowed us to go into halftime with a 52-43 advantage.
Our first points of the second half came from Lee at the free-throw line: 54-43. After baskets in the paint by Ercan and Dessert, Lee knocked down a three-pointer to make it 64-50 in the 25th minute. In the second half of the quarter, we hit one three-pointer each through Şehmus and Dozier and entered the final period leading 72-67. We opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer by Dozier and the score came to 75-71. After a basket from Swider, Loyd and Lee each converted two free throws, pushing the score to 81-74 in the 35th minute. With points from Dessert and Ercan, we increased our lead to 91-77 in the 38th minute. We added two more points through Dessert in the final two minutes and secured a 93-80 victory.
