
Our starting five were Larkin, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Erkan, and Ercan. The first points of the game came from Cordinier at the free-throw line, giving us a 2-0 lead in the second minute. With consecutive three-pointers from Weiler-Babb, Larkin and Cordinier, we held an 11-3 advantage by the fifth minute. In the second five minutes of the quarter, Smits, Ercan and Loyd each contributed two points and we finished the first 10 minutes trailing 21-17. We opened the second quarter with points from Larkin and Cordinier and by the 12th minute the score came to 24-27. We managed to close the gap and after successful shots from Smits, Dozier and Loyd, we took the lead 34-33 in the 15th minute. In the remaining time, Smits and Ercan continued to score, helping us to finish the first half ahead 46-39.
In the second half, we extended the lead to 14 points (54-40) in the 22nd minute with baskets from Erkan and Cordinier. We maintained the lead by scoring with Larkin and Loyd in these minutes and we were ahead 65-52 by the 27th minute. After baskets by Şehmus and Ercan, we entered the final quarter up 69-60. Cordinier scored our first basket of the last period: 71-63. Larkin added nine points during this part, increasing the lead to 14 (80-63) by the 33rd minute. With contributions from Weiler-Babb and Dozier, the score was 85-73 in the 37th minute. Ercan added five more points in the final minutes, and we secured a 90-80 victory.
