Defeated 92-105 by the Italian side EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on the road at the sixth week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague first round, Anadolu Efes Coach Velimir Perasovic commented at the post-game press conference:
“First of all, I would like to congratulate EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. They deserved to win the match today. The Italian side was the better side on the court from the very beginning of the match. They were much more energetic, and they played with confidence. On the other hand, our defense was very poor. Our one-on-one defense in particular was awful from the beginning of the game, and we allowed easy three-point field goals as a result. We then put in some effort into rebounding and stealing, yet it wasn’t enough against a team like EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.”
Our captain Doğuş Balbay also stated his thoughts: “It was a very challenging match on the road. Unfortunately, we allowed them to score more than 100 points. Especially on the road, it’s not possible to win under such conditions. Now we have to go back home, watch the match once more, see our mistakes and try to get better on defense. When you allow more than 100 points in Turkish Airlines Euroleague, it’s almost impossible to win.”
