Defeated by Karşıyaka 67-73 at the Playoff Quarter Final third and last match of Beko Basketball League, Anadolu Efes coach Vaggelis Aggelou stated at the press conference after the game:
“First of all, I would like to congratulate Karşıyaka. I wish them all but success in the next rounds. It was a hard day for us. We fought, but we couldn’t win. We experienced problems in rebounds. The first half was full of challenge for both teams, but those seven offensive rebounds we gave up in the second half along with the uncontested shots we missed directly influenced the score. Generally speaking, we have worked hard the whole season. Despite everything, our young players earned valuable match experience. Now, we have to prepare for the next season. I would like to thank our supporters, players and everyone else in the team...”
Anadolu Efes captain Kerem Gönlüm also talked at the press conference: “There is not much to say. It was a game of make or break in the Playoffs. However, they were more ambitious than us. I would like to congratulate Karşıyaka and wish them success in the subsequent games. Matches are always at the highest level in the Playoffs. There is no atonement, no excuses. The season is over for us. Now, we will have new objectives in the new season...”
