
Our starting five was Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Ercan and Smits. With points from Smits and Cordinier, we led 6-4 in the third minute. Loyd and Ercan also scored their first points in the game and we were ahead 10-9 at the fifth minute. Smits and Cordinier, who had scored our opening points, each added another basket, bringing the score to 15-16 at 7:30. After Weiler-Babb’s three-pointer and Cordinier’s basket, we finished the first 10 minutes trailing 22-20. We opened the second quarter with a mid-range shot from Şehmus and the 11th minute passed with a score of 22-26. With points from Loyd, Ercan and Beaubois, we cut the double-digit lead down to two points at 15:30, prompting a timeout from the home team: 30-32. After the timeout, seven points from Loyd took us into the final minute of the half trailing 43-37. Following Cordinier’s layup in the remaining time, we finished the first half behind 45-39.
Our first points of the second half came from Ercan and the 23rd minute passed with the score at 43-53. With seven points from Cordinier, the score reached 50-58 in the 25th minute. Poirier, who entered the game for the first time after his long term injury, scored his first points, making it 54-64 in the 27th minute. In this part, Cordinier also hit a three-pointer and after a basket from Şehmus, we entered the final 10 minutes trailing 71-59. We opened the final quarter with points from Loyd and Swider, reaching 65-75 in the 33rd minute. With three-pointers coming consecutively from Şehmus, Loyd, Swider and David Mutaf, the score reached 77-89 in the 38th minute. Although we added five more points with Erkan and Swider in the remaining time, we couldn’t close the gap and lost the game 94-82.
