Defeating Pınar Karşıyaka 96-70 at the 10th week match of Spor Toto Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes coach Velimir Perasovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
“After yesterday’s events, this is not a day to talk about basketball. The people who died at the horrible attack yesterday shall rest in peace. My condolences to their families. I hope that such events will cease to exist in Turkey and in the whole world.”
Anadolu Efes’s captain Doğuş Balbay also stated his thoughts: “First of all, I would like to express that it is very hard to concentrate on the match on such a day. After yesterday’s events, it wouldn’t be appropriate to talk about basketball today. May God rest the souls of all the martyrs. Condolences to their families. I hope our citizens who were injured will heal as soon as possible. We don’t want such bitter events to happen in our beloved country, but they unfortunately happen. There’s nothing to talk about the match. We have to work together to keep this country standing. Again, my get-well wishes and condolences are with everyone. I hope we will stay strong, and standing...”
