
Our team started the game with Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Ercan and Dessert. With points from Loyd and Dessert, we took a 5-2 lead in the second minute. As Cordinier also contributed to the scoring, we were ahead 11-9 in the fifth minute. After two successful free throws from Şehmus, we hit three-pointers respectively with Ercan, Swider and David Mutaf, entering the ninth minute with a 22-17 lead. We could not score in the remaining time, and the first 10 minutes ended with a 22-22 tie. We opened the second quarter with points from David Mutaf and Smits, taking a 27-24 lead in the 11th minute. After two dunks by Jones made it 29-24 in the 12th minute, Weiler-Babb scored consecutively, and we entered the 17th minute ahead 40-33. In the remaining three minutes we scored with Weiler-Babb and Loyd, and the first half ended in a 47-47 tie.
In the second half, our first points came from Ercan and Dessert, giving us a 58-51 lead in the 26th minute. After Jones’ spectacular dunk, we entered the final 10 minutes of the game leading 60-59. Our first basket of the final quarter came from Smits, and we entered the 31st minute up 62-59. Following Cordinier’s layup, three-pointers from Şehmus and Loyd put us ahead 70-65 in the 34th minute. However, we were unable to score for the next 2:30, and the score shifted to 70-74 at 36:30. Although we scored with Weiler-Babb, Şehmus and Loyd in the remaining period, we could not reclaim the lead and lost the game 86-79.
