We hosted Pınar Karşıyaka in the first game of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League play-off final and we won the game 82-78. We finished the first half of the match, which was played at Sinan Erdem Dome, ahead 43-29.
After this score, we took a 1-0 lead in the series. The second match of the series will be played on Thursday, June 15, again at Sinan Erdem Dome.
While our team went into the game with Micic, Larkin, Clyburn, M'Baye, and Pleiss starting five, we were ahead 7-4 in the second minute with Larkin and Micic's points. With two three-pointers from Larkin following M'Baye's layup, we made the score 15-8 in the fifth minute. In the second five-minute part of the quarter, Micic's points were accompanied by M'Baye and Elijah, and we finished the first 10 minutes of the game with a 23-14 advantage. We started the second period with five numbers from Elijah: 28-14. With a three-pointer from Clyburn after Pleiss's under-the-pot, at 13:30 we increased the lead to 15 points: 33-18. Our team that scored with Larkin and Clyburn in this section is 16. He brought the score to 38-28 at the minute. With the points of M'Baye and Egehan, the score came to 43-28 in the 19th minute, and although we could not find a score in the last minute of the half, we finished the first half of the game ahead 43-29.
In the second half, our first basket came from Micic, and M'Baye's three-pointer made the score 48-32 in the 22nd minute. With Elijah and M'Baye's points, we were ahead 53-43 in the 25th minute. With Micic's six points, the score was 59-50 in the 27th minute, while Elijah hit a three-pointer in the remaining half and we were leading 62-56 in the last 10 minutes of the game. We started the final period with Micic's layup and brought the score to 64-59 in the 32nd minute. When the score was 64-64 in the 33rd minute, coach Ergin Ataman took a time-out. On the return from the time-out, we were ahead 71-70 in the 35th minute with the points of Pleiss and Elijah. With Micic's three-pointer and M'Baye's points, we entered the last minute of the game with a 78-76 lead. We entered the last 30 seconds with a score of 80-76 with Clyburn's two hits on the foul line. In the remaining time, we won the match 82-78 after Clyburn and Larkin hit one each on the foul line.
